ARMILLARY SPHERES
The original armillary sphere was designed by the great astronomer and geographer Ptolemy almost 2,000 years ago to illustrate the idea of a universe that revolved around the earth.
Now used almost exclusively as sundials, armillary spheres have become a favoured fixture of the cultured English garden. With its simple lines, David's interpretation of the traditional armillary offers a contemporary statement of classical values and is particularly well suited to personalised engraving.
